How it all started...
The Assembly was established in December 1923 as an Assembly of God church and was birthed from a series of Pentecostal tent meetings. Throughout the decades, it has been a thriving Assemblies of God church in the community of Siloam Springs, AR.
In 1926, the original church was built at the corner of Gunter Street and East Twin Springs. This was the location from 1926-1973.
In 1953, a new, larger facility that would seat 350 was built at the same location on Gunter Street. The church continued to grow, which led to the purchase of a 5-acre property at Kenwood & Oak Hill in the late 1960's. The building project lasted until 1973.
Expanding the vision...
In 1973, a new facility was built on South Oak Hill, and the church embraced the name First Assembly of God.
The congregation remained there through two building programs until 2018.
Where we are headed...
In 2018, God provided our current 20-acre property on Cheri Whitlock, and our name was changed to The Assembly.
The Assembly has a rich heritage as a well-established church known for community involvement, thriving kids' and youth ministries, powerful worship, and biblical preaching. God has blessed The Assembly, and we give Him all the credit for over 100 years of reaching Siloam Springs and the surrounding areas.
